Full description and what we offer
Ant Hill Range is a state-of-the-art outdoor shooting range located in Bolivia, North Carolina, serving competitive shooters and recreational firearm enthusiasts throughout the Carolinas. As a private membership club, Ant Hill Range provides a safe, family-friendly environment with world-class facilities designed for serious competitors and shooters of all skill levels.
Ant Hill Range hosts regular competitive matches open to the public for participation and viewing:
All matches welcome competitors from other gun clubs, USPSA and IDPA members, military, law enforcement, and NRA members. Participation fee is $20 per match. All participants must attend a mandatory safety briefing and sign a liability waiver.
The range features eleven shooting bays ranging from 25 to 185 yards, providing versatile distance options for pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooting. Spacious clay throwing areas accommodate shotgun disciplines. Well-maintained grounds and dedicated safe areas for firearm handling ensure professional operations. The facility includes a classroom/briefing area for safety instruction and competition coordination.
Private membership is required for general range access outside of matches. Annual membership is $150 and provides access to all facilities during regular operating hours. Non-members may participate in public competitive matches without membership.
Ant Hill Range offers concealed carry training classes designed to meet North Carolina legal requirements. Classes cover applicable state and federal laws, and staff assist with the concealed carry permit application process—essential training for those seeking to legally carry concealed weapons in North Carolina and other states.
All range operations strictly enforce cold range rules: firearms must remain unloaded with no magazine inserted until directed by a Range Officer. Volunteer support services help coordinate match setup, scoring, and operations.
