Clay Target Center sits outside Fort Bragg in Spring Lake and operates as one of the state's biggest shotgun shooting ranges. The facility is open to the public and welcomes shooters of all skill levels—beginners get instruction on the basics, experienced competitors have competition-grade fields.
If you don't have your own shotgun, rentals run $10/day in 12g, 20g, or 28g. They stock ammunition on-site (12g starting at $17, 20g at $19 per 25-count box). Hearing protection available for $1.
Shot size is restricted to 7½, 8, or 9 lead only. This safety regulation keeps rounds contained within the shooting fields.

The facility handles more than clay sports. They offer:
Age Requirements: Shooters must be at least 8 years old. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian (21+) supervising at all times.
Open Friday-Sunday, 9am-4pm. Closed Monday-Thursday. Groups can schedule events outside regular hours with 20+ participants. No new rounds start 30 minutes before closing.
Dogs are allowed on leashed and owners must clean up. Shotguns don't need to be registered on the installation—only shotguns are permitted on premises.
