Full description and what we offer
D&D Gunworks and Refinishing LLC started as a general gunsmithing shop and evolved into a licensed firearms manufacturer. Both founders bring real combat experience: Don "Gunner" served as a 2112 Precision Weapons Technician, and Dave was an 8541 Scout Sniper. That background shapes everything they build—function and reliability first, historical accuracy throughout.
They specialize in exact reproductions of USMC sniper rifles from the Vietnam era. All rifles start with a $1,000 deposit to begin your build.
M40A1 Models - Three tiers available: - Pillar Bedded ($3,995): McMillan HTG stock in forest camo, Timney 2-4lb trigger, Unertl mount remake. Budget-friendly without sacrificing accuracy. - Glass Bedded ($4,795): Full glass bedding (standard on the original USMC M40A1), same quality components. - USMC Correct ($5,750): Exact reproduction with 2-piece bottom metal, clip slotting, correct McMillan stock with brown buttpad and Wichita swivels. - Hunter/Precision (~$5,000): Available in .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor, includes Burris 5-25 optic, AICS 5rd magazine, 20MOA rail, hard case, sling, bipods, and ballistic data to 1,000 yards.
All M40A1 variants guaranteed to shoot 1 MOA or better.
M40B ($2,895): Recreation of the original Vietnam-era M40. Lacks clip slotting and glass bedding to reduce cost, but maintains the look and feel. Same 1 MOA accuracy guarantee.
1903A4 Clone (~$3,100): Built from 1903A3 rifles with in-house machined bolt handles, parkerized finish. Comes with Hi-Lux M73 or M82 optic. Vintage sniper match legal.

These aren't mass-produced builds. The founders personally understand what precision weapons need because they've used them in combat. Every rifle is tested and guaranteed. They machine critical parts in-house instead of buying off-the-shelf, giving them control over quality. They won't compromise on function or reliability, which is why all their production rifles meet or exceed military accuracy standards.
If you're looking for a historically accurate, battle-tested sniper rifle clone or need restoration work on a historic rifle, D&D Gunworks has the credentials and experience to do it right.
