Small Arms Combatives is a firearms training center built on the principle that safety comes from martial mindset, tactics, skills, and gear — not just marksmanship. Lead instructor Hunter Parks holds the U.S. Distinguished Rifleman badge (the highest individual marksmanship award in the country) and maintains NRA and North Carolina DOJ instructor certifications.
All courses run 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and are offered as one-day or two-day formats:
Pistol Response ($275–$550) - Designed for concealed carry citizens who need to respond with lethal force - Covers drawing from concealed holster, malfunction clearing, shooting multiple targets, one-handed techniques, legal considerations - Requires semiautomatic pistol, 400–800 rounds ammunition, sturdy belt and holster
Tactical Rifle Response ($275–$550) - For defensive rifle work and home protection - Teaches combative mindset, CQB techniques, shooting in motion, barricade shooting, transition to pistol - Requires AR-15/M16/M4 or equivalent, 800 rounds, tactical sling - Instructors recommend completing Pistol Response first
Midrange Rifle Marksmanship ($275–$550) - Combat marksmanship at distance (0–300 yards) - Covers shooting positions, sling use, battle sight zero, DOPE books, malfunction drills - Requires service rifle, 800 rounds, sling attachment
NC Concealed Carry Handgun Training - Official USCCA partner for North Carolina CCW licensing - Covers the four rules of gun safety, legal duties, lethal force justification
All courses require no refunds once payment is made. You can reschedule and pay full price to take the course again.
The Range Day Program ($40 per person per two-hour block) runs select Sunday afternoons 12:30–3:30 PM. It's self-paced continuing education with no membership required—sign up by calling 252-245-6263. Advanced Range Days feature instructor-selected drills to test pistol and rifle tactical shooting under professional supervision.

This is NOT a public shooting range. Property access requires prior approval. Visiting without permission is trespassing.

You must complete prerequisite courses before joining the advanced group.
