Members work the shoots to keep operations running. Those who help with cleanup the day before can shoot for free on event day.
The club is run by elected officers—President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Target Masters. All positions are voluntary, unpaid roles voted on by membership.
Member responsibilities include: - Helping maintain club grounds and shooting areas (year-round) - Participating in cleanup days (day before shoots) - Assisting during shoot days (registration, concessions, range maintenance, trophy setup, scoring) - Supporting club functions to prevent burnout among volunteer officers
Members live from 1 mile to 40+ miles from the facility. The club emphasizes family participation and welcomes shooters of all ages and experience levels—from lifelong archers to complete beginners.
B.O.A.C. holds 2-3 club-only shoots per year exclusively for members and their guests. These events focus on camaraderie and relaxation rather than formal competition. The club provides food, or members donate dishes. No 3D targets are pulled for these shoots—it's purely for enjoying the sport together.
Absolutely prohibited on club property: - Drugs and alcohol - Firearms of any kind - Crossbows - Motorcycles - ATVs (allowed only on cleanup and shoot days for maintenance)
Violating club rules can result in disqualification from shoots, membership termination without refund, and potential criminal prosecution.
All visitors, members, guests, and spectators must sign an Insurance Liability Waiver before entering the property for any reason. Waivers are good for one year from the date of signing.
Safety note: Parents must supervise children at all times. The property includes a small pond and active archery ranges.
