Firearms Training Institute

Firearms Training Institute serves shooters throughout South Carolina and North Carolina, with locations covering Fort Mill, Indian Land, Lancaster, York, Tega Cay, Rock Hill, and Charlotte—plus Long Island, NY. They'll travel to other states for group instruction.

FTI's primary mission is firearms safety and responsible use. Their secondary focus includes CPR, First Aid, and AED training.

Popular courses:

• •Concealed Carry (NC/SC) — Covers safety, state and federal law, storage, cleaning, parts, operation, shooting fundamentals, and holster draw. Includes state qualification and written exam. Paperwork completed as part of the course.
• •NRA First Steps — Three hours of one-on-one instruction for first-time buyers. Choose rifle, pistol, or shotgun. Includes book and completion certificate.
• •Tactical Pistol Introduction — Three-hour blocks covering defensive firearm use: drawing, malfunction clearing, tactical and speed reloads, shooting positions, flashlight techniques, use of cover and concealment, moving off the X.
• •Introduction to AR-15 — Three-hour blocks on platforms, operation, marksmanship, upgrades, optics, zeroing, and troubleshooting.
• •NRA Basic Instructor Training — Path to becoming NRA-certified for home firearm safety instruction, with options to add rifle, pistol, shotgun, and advanced disciplines.
• •Hourly Private Instruction — One-on-one or small group sessions at $75 first hour, $50 each additional hour.

Group classes run the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month. A $50 non-refundable deposit holds your spot (instructor training requires $100 deposit).
