Location details and information
Slope Area Rifle & Pistol Club is a members-only shooting range in Dickinson, North Dakota, affiliated with the NRA and USPSA. New members are voted in by the club's executive committee, and meeting attendance is required as part of the application process. First-time guests may shoot once before being asked to join.
Shooters use only standard paper targets on club-provided or personal target frames; glass, exploding, and pyrotechnic targets are prohibited, along with Tannerite and other binary explosives. Uncontrolled rapid fire and fully automatic fire are not permitted, though clay targets are allowed. Shooting shotguns directly at the club's target holders is not allowed, since it damages the backers other shooters rely on.
Eye and ear protection is required for everyone on the firing line. Firearms carried to or from the line must be unloaded with the action open, and alcohol is not permitted on the range. Shooters are responsible for clearing their own targets, litter, and spent casings after each session.
