Walton & Associates has been teaching concealed carry courses since Ohio passed its CCW legislation. Mark Walton is an NRA Certified Instructor with two decades of experience in sales, marketing, and training—plus a background in competitive shooting and military/law enforcement firearms fundamentals.

Pam Walton handles registration and day-to-day operations and is also an NRA Certified Instructor for Basic Pistol and First Steps programs.

Max Walton founded Walton and Associates in 1976 as a management consulting firm and began his career in rural Ohio law enforcement, where he developed a lifelong commitment to tactical shooting and firearms instruction.

The CCW class is 8 hours total: 6 hours classroom + 2 hours range time. Here's the breakdown:

• •Lesson 2: Ammunition Knowledge & Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting (2 hours)
• •Lesson 3: Firing the First Shots (1 hour)
• •Lesson 4: Written & Practical Exams, Two-Handed Standing Position, Range Gun Intro (2 hours)
• •Lesson 5: Live Fire Range Time (2 hours)
• •Lesson 6 (Optional): Ohio CCW Rules, Regulations & Requirements (2 hours)

The curriculum covers: - Basic handgun components and how they work - Safe handling, firing, and storage of pistols and ammunition - Firearm fundamentals and marksmanship - Self-defense principles and legal considerations - Hands-on examination of various handgun styles and manufacturers - Practical and written exams

The classroom is designed for both beginners and experienced shooters. You'll handle different types and styles of handguns from multiple manufacturers in a safe, non-intimidating environment.

DO NOT bring your own weapon or ammunition. Everything is provided.

In Ohio, anyone carrying a concealed handgun must apply for and receive a CCW permit. Carrying without a license is a felony with fines and imprisonment. One prerequisite for the permit is completing approved training from a certified instructor—which is exactly what Walton & Associates provides.

Important to know: - Classes are kept small for optimal learning - You must sign in and out; one hour lunch break provided - Cell phones off during class - No cameras or recording devices - Arrive on time—required hours must be completed to pass

Cancellation Policy: Cancel at least 7 days before your class to reschedule or receive a credit. Cancel within 7 days and you lose payment. Credits can be used for future classes (limit one reschedule). Refunds subject to $15 processing fee.
