Pineland Consulting is a disabled veteran-owned firearms training company based in Ohio and serving students nationwide. Owner and operator Joseph Bridges brings 20+ years of U.S. Army Special Operations experience as a Green Beret, combined with 20 years as a Deputy U.S. Marshal. His background includes global operations in hazardous environments, training military and foreign personnel, providing executive protection, and serving on the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Co-instructor Andrew Russell has logged over 30 years in law enforcement and served as a training officer for the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA). He developed and led multiple specialized tactical programs including SWAT basic and advanced, active threat response, precision rifle qualification, and vehicle defense tactics. Russell is also a combat veteran who served as a Military Police Officer during Operation Just Cause in Panama.

Pistol Training — From foundational handling to defensive carry. Covers safe handling, accuracy fundamentals, and performance under pressure for concealed carry, recreational shooting, or professional development.

Rifle & Carbine Courses — Tactical rifle and carbine training for all experience levels. Classes range from basic rifle fundamentals to advanced tactical applications in realistic defensive contexts.

Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) — Specialized training for shooters of all levels. From recreational range use to advanced defensive applications, focusing on handling, accuracy, and competence with PCC platforms.

Constitutional Carry Essentials — One-day course for new and experienced pistol carriers. Covers safe handling and defensive fundamentals to carry responsibly without a permit.

Home Defense & Vehicle Defense — Specialty courses that move beyond the flat range to teach core skills in realistic defensive contexts, including home protection and vehicle-based tactics.

Active Threat Response — Training designed to sharpen your ability to apply fundamentals effectively under real-world pressure and active threat scenarios.

Women's-Only Courses — Dedicated programming that provides a supportive, judgment-free environment for women to build confidence, practical skills, and self-reliance.

Private Instruction — Personalized one-on-one training in firearms, tactics, leadership, or specialty courses. Custom pacing and full curriculum selection based on your goals.

Law Enforcement & Military Programs — Specialized instruction for professional operators. Many courses are eligible for Continuing Professional Training (CPT) reimbursement in Ohio.

Pineland's approach combines proven fundamentals with real-world experience. Rather than range-only drills, courses integrate decision-making under stress, tactical problem-solving, and practical application. The training process is built on decades of Special Operations and federal law enforcement experience—not theory.

JD Morris (OSS2 Partnership) — Retired Green Beret (21 years Army service), specialization in demolitions, sniper operations, and intelligence. Training Director for OSS2, focused on survival, resilience, and veteran mental health advocacy.

Pineland partners with OSS2 Shooting & Survival and maintains connections with other veteran-owned tactical and training businesses throughout Ohio and nationally, including specialized gear makers, ammunition manufacturers, and related training providers.
