Lone Oak Trading LLC started when Tom and Laurie Foster closed their retail gun store—Shooter's Mercantile in Oregon—to balance business demands with family priorities. Tom, who's been a gunsmith since graduating from the Colorado School of Trades in 1984, now manages the business from Ohio with his wife and son.

This is primarily an internet-based operation, which means:

Most inventory rotates between their eBay and Gunbroker accounts, updated weekly. They also accept local pickups during business hours with advance notice.
