The Medina Bird Club has been a cornerstone of recreational shooting in Northeast Ohio since 1935. Located on 16.5 acres in Montville Township, south of Medina, the club evolved from its original focus on wing shooting habitat and hunting into a full-service private shooting club with year-round activities.
As residential development increased around the area and wildlife habitat declined, the club transitioned from a hunting-focused operation to a recreational shooting facility. That shift didn't diminish the membership's commitment to conservation—it just redirected their energy. Today, the club's primary mission is introducing new shooters to safe firearm handling and helping experienced shooters improve their marksmanship.
The club maintains a range of shooting disciplines across 16.5 acres:
