Full description and what we offer
Jason Truesdale started shooting archery in 1985 when his father and brother gave him his first bow—a Bear Whiteail II. Decades later, after 28 years as an Assistant Fire Chief, he's opening Oak Point Archery with one clear mission: create a place where families can come together to learn and hunt.
The shop started simple. A friend's son wanted to learn archery. Truesdale set up a bow in the backyard, and the idea clicked. He connected with someone from a closing bow shop, attended the ATA show, and got certified as a compound bow and crossbow technician. Oak Point Archery was born.
This is a full-service operation:
Outdoor range with different ranged targets coming soon.
Tradesdale didn't open this shop to sell bows—he opened it to build community. Parents bring their kids for first bows. Hunters grab tune-ups before season. Everyone shares stories over coffee. The shop operates around his fire department schedule, so hours vary. Check their calendar before you visit.
