Southern Ohio Outfitters

Southern Ohio Outfitters operates multi-day guided hunts for mature whitetail bucks across Jackson County and surrounding properties. Owner David Lusk runs a straightforward operation: you book a hunt, show up, and hunt. Everything else is handled.

Every hunt is all-inclusive. You get:

• •Lodging and meals (lunch and dinner)
• •Professional guides
• •Transportation to and from hunting properties
• •Stand setup in high-probability spots
• •Animal processing after harvest
• •Range time before your hunt (shooting bags and archery targets available)

• •Minimum buck size: 130" on mature deer

• •Hunting method: Fair chase only—no high-fence operations. All land is unfenced and hunted as wild animals behave. Stands are a mix of ladder stands, lock-ons, and blinds depending on the property and season.

Archery Season (September–November) - 3-day and 7-day hunts - Early season evening-only hunts ($2,200–$3,700) - Mid-season all-day hunts ($2,200–$3,700) - Late season all-day hunts ($2,550–$3,700)

Firearms Season (November–December) - Inline muzzleloader, slug gun, straight-walled rifles - 3-day and 7-day hunts ($1,675–$5,500) - Youth firearms hunts available

Late Season Muzzleloader (January) - 3-day hunts ($2,700)

SOO does not accept: - Non-hunting guests - Traditional archery (recurve/longbow) - Hunters unwilling to use ladder stands AND blinds - Anyone unable to walk and put reasonable effort into hunting
