Summit Metro Parks

Summit Metro Parks offers public archery access at no cost. Three locations spread across the Akron area give archers multiple options for target practice.

• •Open hours: Dawn to dusk daily
• •Target distances: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards
• •Cost: Free
• •Setup: Common shooting line—no walk-up shooting
• •Equipment: You bring your own bow and arrows

Violating these rules results in loss of range privileges and possible criminal prosecution.

• •Sign in and out at the kiosk
• •Adults must supervise anyone under 18
• •Field tips only—broadheads and practice broadheads prohibited
• •Shoot from the common line only
• •Load arrows only when the range is clear
• •Retrieve arrows only after all bows are made safe
• •Shoot no more than 6 arrows between retrievals
• •Maximum two people per target
• •No alcohol, no hunting, no pets in archery areas
• •Check bows and arrows for safety before each session
