Full description and what we offer
Whitetail Outfitters of Ohio operates across Licking, Coshocton, Knox, and Muskingum counties—the heart of east-central Ohio's trophy buck country. Owners Ty and Tammy McCombs built this operation on a simple philosophy: manage land aggressively, limit hunters severely, and deliver results. They've been outfitting for over two decades and have hosted outdoor writers and TV personalities from Bass Pro Shops, Drury Outdoors, and Buckmasters.
Most outfitters would double or triple their client volume. Whitetail Outfitters of Ohio deliberately doesn't. Their hunter-to-shooter buck ratio sits at 1:4—meaning they could quadruple their bookings and still operate profitably. Instead, they maintain a running waiting list and book a year in advance.
"I've hunted with over 20 different outfitters and Ty is the best I've ever been with. He knows how to get you on them." — Chris Gore
They manage several thousand acres across strictly enforced Quality Deer Management properties:
Many east-central Ohio bucks on the Boone and Crockett list came off their farms—with client harvests driving that reputation.
$1,500 fee for bucks under these thresholds ($1,850 on the last hunt day). This isn't about extra income—it's about protecting years of land management investment.

"Ty knows his deer like no other. I've been hunting with Ty and Tammy for 10-years and only have good things to say. Do what he tells you and you'll probably have a shooter in range during the week!" — Chris Palmer, 10-year repeat client
"Blown away! My son harvested his largest buck to date as well as my brother! Ty is by far the best I've ever hunted with. 5-star treatment with awesome meals & great accommodations." — Dwayne Morgan
