Location details and information
Ashland Lake Gun Club, located on US Route 42 in West Salem, runs multiple numbered ranges supporting a range of organized shooting disciplines: skeet and trap, IDPA practical pistol, high power rifle, silhouette, PPC pistol, tactical rifle and shotgun, and bowling pin matches.
The club runs an active IDPA program registered through Practiscore, following the current IDPA rule book with classifier matches held across the year. Matches run across several of the club's numbered ranges, with squads limited to 15 shooters and total match capacity capped at 75 shooters; walk-ins are accepted when space remains. Each match day follows a set format: sign-in, a shooters meeting, then shooting, with a safety officer guiding each squad through its courses of fire.
Separate program contacts exist for the club's Tactical Rifle and High Power Rifle programs alongside IDPA, reflecting distinct organized shooting activities beyond casual range use.
