Portland Gun Club

Portland Gun Club is an established shooting facility dedicated to promoting safe, enjoyable trap shooting and clay target sports in the Portland, Oregon area. Founded in 1913, the club has a long tradition of excellence in marksmanship instruction and competitive shooting.

The club specializes in trap shooting and clay target shooting. Primary offerings include:

• •Trap shooting on clay target ranges
• •New Shooter Clinics - Beginner-friendly classes teaching gun safety and shooting fundamentals
• •Shotgun rentals for those without their own equipment
• •Ammunition sales on-site

The New Shooter Clinic is an excellent entry point for beginners. Led by Kelly Whitlock, a past club president and patient instructor, clinics are held Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM by appointment only. Classes are limited to 5 students to ensure quality instruction.

• •Gun safety orientation
• •Rental shotgun
• •1 box of ammunition shells
• •One round of trap shooting (25 shots)

No membership required to attend. Participants will gain confidence in basic firearm safety and clay shooting techniques.
