Buffalo Valley Sportsmen's Association

Buffalo Valley Sportsmen's Association has been a fixture in central Pennsylvania since 1963. This nonprofit operates as a full-service facility for hunters, archers, and shooters across the region.

• •50-300 Yard Rifle Range – Full distance capability for everything from 22s to long-range precision work
• •4-Bay Pistol Range – Dedicated facility for handgun practice
• •Indoor Archery Range – Year-round arrow shooting with door fob access for members
• •Trap Houses – Shotgun clay shooting
• •Catch-and-Release Pond – On-site fishing
• •Pavilion – Available for member reservations

They don't sit idle. BVSA runs regular competitions and shoots:

• •3D Archery Shoots – Monthly Sunday events (April-June), $10 per shoot
• •ASA State 3D Shoot – July 17-19, kitchen open during the event
• •7th Annual Bow Festival – September 11-13, 4 courses with 30 targets each, $10 per course. Multi-day passes available ($30 for 2 days, $40 for 3 days). Free camping on-site.
• •Practical Pistol & Steel Challenge – Friday night events with published results

Established objectives focus on propagation and protection of forests, streams, game, and fish while promoting cooperation between sportsmen, landowners, and state resource management agencies.

Indoor Archery Door Fob also available for range access.

Beyond shooting sports, they run seasonal activities like their annual Chicken BBQ fundraiser (next one April 19, 2026) and nut sales.
