"Since 1871, a major objective of the National Rifle Association has been to provide education and training in the safe and proper use of firearms."
They emphasize that good instruction is learnable. Their approach covers:
- •Organization and attention to detail
- •Teaching students across all skill ranges
- •Classroom and range management
- •Identifying and correcting unsafe habits
- •Adult learning psychology and motivational skills
- •The "expertise curve"—understanding fundamentals, practice time, and competitive shooting
They believe instructors don't need to be expert marksmen, but should be respectable shots who understand how students progress.
They maintain current coverage of 2A legal developments—recent posts cover SCOTUS cases on sensitive locations, AR-15 bans, NFA regulations, and New York's new permit handgun process.
Operating out of Westside Rifle & Pistol Range in Manhattan for range-based instruction and courses.
Operating since 2010 — 16 years of concealed carry and instructor training experience.
