Full description and what we offer
Ranger Rod & Gun Club operates a multi-sport shooting facility centered around its 62-acre lake in Coplay. A full membership at $80/year gives you access to the rifle range, pistol range, archery course, and fishing lake—basically everything the club offers.
Range Specifications
The rifle range, renovated in 2004, is fully covered with targets from 25 to 100 yards. The pistol range runs 5 to 25 yards with a 25-yard shotgun target. Archery includes block targets from 10 to 40 yards plus 3D animal targets at various distances. Note: .50 cal centerfire rifles and automatics are not permitted—they damage the facility too much.
The lake stretches nearly a mile of shoreline and reaches depths up to 100 feet. Species include trout, largemouth bass, crappie, carp, walleye, channel catfish, sunfish, eels, and elwives. Fishing hours are 6am–1am (boats off water by 1am), or 7am–10pm after November 15.
| Boat Access | Cost |
|---|---|
| Dock slip | $40/year |
| Car top (trailer in/out) | $20/year |

The club provides 200 boat docks and a boat launch.
Full memberships are limited. Sign-ups open December 1st each year at the clubhouse (Sat-Sun 12pm–2pm, Tue-Fri 6–8pm) or at Coplay News Agency. Cash and check only at clubhouse; credit cards accepted at the news agency.
They close only 3 days per year (opening day of fishing in April and contest weekend in June). The facility runs monthly meetings the first Wednesday at 7pm and actively recruits volunteers. They host an annual Dream Come True Fishing Day for seriously and chronically ill children ages 4–17.
