Atglen Sportsmens Club

Atglen Sportsmen's Club is a private membership organization in Christiana, PA (Chester County) that operates shooting ranges and archery facilities for competitive events, practice, and recreational shooting. The club has been a local fixture for hunters, sport shooters, and archery enthusiasts who want access to maintained ranges without the hassle of finding private land.

Membership gives you access to multiple shooting ranges operating Monday-Saturday 8 AM to dusk, Sunday noon to dusk. The club maintains:

• •Upper rifle range (100-yard distance available)
• •Trap field
• •Indoor .22 caliber range (Wednesday evenings, $5 per 30 minutes for walk-ups)
• •Archery facilities

• •2027 Membership Cost: $175/year (new members pay $200 with $25 initiation fee). The club raised dues from previous years to cover increased maintenance, operations, and facility improvements. Life memberships are no longer available.

The club runs a heavy calendar of organized events:

• •Sporting Clays - Running 54+ sessions throughout the year
• •Blacklight Blast (Glow Shoots) - Indoor evening matches with 12+ sessions scheduled
• •Indoor Air Rifle Benchrest - Precision competition matches
• •2-Gun Action Challenge - Multi-discipline shooting events
• •Big Bore Handgun Shoots - Heavy caliber competitions

General membership meetings happen monthly (11 sessions per year) at 7 PM, giving you a say in how the club operates.

The club operates a waiting list due to limited capacity. To get on it, you'll need a current member sponsor (they're putting their membership on the line for you, so make sure you know each other). Provide your sponsor's name, club number, and email during registration.

Once selected, you'll take an online test based on club bylaws - score 92% or higher to pass. This replaced old in-person orientations to make the process faster. Read the bylaws before testing.

• •Renewal deadline: October 31st each year (membership ends December 31 if you miss it). Online PayPal payment available, or mail a check. Allow 4-6 weeks for your new card.

The club keeps ranges safe by restricting target types. Use only:

• •Paper targets
• •Police silhouettes
• •Bowling pins
• •Balloons
• •Clays

• •DO NOT use: glass or plastic bottles, fruit, CDs, cans, or exploding targets.

Members get a membership card ($10 to replace) and gate key card ($50 replacement if lost). Online store available for replacements via PayPal.
