C.G. Dorn (known as Bondieu) purchased the property in 1927 as a family retreat. The Dorn family opened it to guests in 1995. In 2009, Cliff Forrest and family became the second owners and made significant ongoing restorations and improvements. The resort maintains the original property's history while upgrading amenities.
