Full description and what we offer
The Range at The Preserve isn't just another shooting facility. It's the longest indoor automated range in the country, with lanes stretching over 150 yards and programmable target retrieval systems. That matters: you can dial in rifles at actual distance instead of the typical 25-yard indoor compromise.
The facility spans 50,000 square feet of climate-controlled shooting space with 24 total stations covering rifle, pistol, and archery. There's also a dedicated Firearms Training Simulation (FATS®) room for scenario-based training and a golf simulator. The range anchors a 50,000 sf lodge that includes VIP member lounges and a reach-in humidor.
Indoors at The Range: - Rifle shooting out to 150 yards - Pistol courses of fire - Archery lanes - FATS® firearms training simulations - Golf simulators
Outdoors on 3,500 acres: - 19-Station Sporting Clays Course – Recently expanded with one and two-story pavilions spread over a mile and a half. Each station has 6 clay throwers strategically repositioned to keep targets varied. Handles tournaments from 4-person teams to 200+ shooters. - 12-Station Compact Clays Course – Manicured shooting stations set in natural tall field grasses with elevation changes. - Two 5-Stand Courses – Heated and covered positions on a hillside hunting lodge with views overlooking 250+ different target presentations. - European Tower – At 210 feet, the tallest clay tower in the Northeast, designed for high, fast birds. - Upland Hunting – Hundreds of acres of sorghum fields for hunting simulations.
Classes for all skill levels taught by NRA-certified instructors. The Academy curriculum covers firearm safety, tactical training, and specialized courses for beginners through armed professionals. Class space fills up—they recommend registering early.
The FATS® system here is key: instructors can personalize scenarios for your ability level and adjust intensity on the fly as you progress through each situation. It's interactive, computer-driven training using realistic firearms loaded with computer chips instead of ammunition.

Shooting sports are the heart and soul of The Preserve. Whether you're into upland hunting, competitive clays, long-range rifle work, or tactical training, the facility is built around shooters actually doing those things—not checking boxes.
The 3,500-acre setting means you're not cramped into a typical range building. Outdoor courses have space for real tournament operations. The 150-yard indoor range eliminates the compromise of shooting rifles indoors at 25 yards. And the training scenarios through FATS® give you decision-making practice, not just trigger time.
Membership scales from clay shooting only to full resort access with spa, lodging, equestrian, and fishing.
