Deep South Defense

Deep South Defense operates out of a state-of-the-art facility on Clemson Boulevard in Seneca, SC. The range features ten climate-controlled 25-yard indoor lanes with high-quality filtration systems and target mechanics. Whether you're zeroing a rifle, practicing handgun fundamentals, or bringing a group for training, this is where it happens.

Open Monday-Saturday, 10am-7pm. The range closes 30 minutes before the store closes. Online orders run 24/7.

The on-site gunsmith handles everything from routine maintenance to detailed restoration. Here's what's available:

DuraCoat is the main draw here. Available in over 300 colors, it bonds to metal, plastic, and wood—perfect for restoring old guns with rust or scratches. The process involves degreasing and sandblasting before application, creating a smooth, protective coating that resists impact, abrasion, corrosion, and chemicals. It works over bare metal, parkerizing, anodizing, or bluing.

Minimum charge is $150 per gun, with $125/hour labor rates. Custom work like trigger installation, barrel crowning, and muzzle loader repairs are available.

Conceal carry certification taught by instructors with 30+ years of law enforcement experience. The Concealed Weapons Permit class covers everything needed for South Carolina concealed carry—and that permit is recognized in 36 states. You must be 21 or older. Classes run regularly; contact the store for scheduling.

$10 per rental. Newer model firearms available for use in the range. Ammunition sold separately.

Beyond CWP courses, Deep South Defense offers additional firearm operation and maintenance courses. Handgun, AR-15, and rifle instruction available by appointment.

Firearms shipped to Deep South Defense are ready for pickup within 24 hours of arrival. Browse their online inventory of guns, ammunition, and accessories from anywhere, then pick up in-store or have items shipped (dealer to dealer).

Ammunition sales: 18+ for rifle/shotgun ammo, 21+ for handgun ammo. All shipments ground with adult signature required.

Individual Range Membership: Unlimited indoor range access for one person. Minimum 6-month commitment, monthly billing. Contact for pricing.

Plus One Range Membership: Same as above, plus bring one guest. All benefits of individual membership plus guest privileges.

Staff includes Daniel (owner), Travis, Mike, and others known for remembering regulars and providing honest recommendations. They hold a Type 7 Federal Firearms License (dealer/manufacturer). The shop maintains competitive pricing and doesn't push customers toward the most expensive items—recommendations are based on what actually works.
