Founder Tina Heaps survived crime and domestic violence, then turned that experience into a purpose: helping people feel confident and prepared instead of fearful.

Tina holds more qualifications than most regional instructors:
- •SLED-Certified Concealed Weapons Permit Instructor
- •NRA-Certified Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Instructor
- •NRA-Certified "Refuse To Be A Victim" Instructor (only one in the area)
- •NRA Home Firearm Safety Instructor
- •NRA "Eddie Eagle" Coach
- •Chief Range Safety Officer & Range Development Specialist
- •Two-Year NRA Distinguished Expert Shooter (Pistol & Rifle)
She's not just certified—she shoots at expert level.
$75 per person | Saturdays + select weekdays
The CWP class covers what most instructors skip over:
- •Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground laws
- •Legal use of force and Second Amendment rights
- •Safe handling, technique, and ammunition selection
- •Liabilities and real-world consequences
- •Self-defense scenarios and best practices
- •25-round range qualification (military/LE exempt but encouraged to participate)
- •50-question written test
Course Details: - Approximately 6 hours (typically 10 AM–3 PM with 1-hour lunch) - Minimum age 21 (ages 18–20 can attend but must wait to submit permit) - Handgun + 50 rounds required (rentals available for $25) - Eye/ear protection provided if needed - Valid SC driver's license required

Permitless carry is legal in SC, but a Concealed Weapons Permit allows you to carry concealed in 36+ states. It's reciprocity insurance.
