Palmetto Gun Club

Palmetto Gun Club is a private, member-based shooting sports club located in Dorchester County near Summerville, South Carolina. We are committed to providing a premier, safe, and family-friendly environment for shooting sports enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Our facility supports a diverse range of competitive and recreational shooting disciplines, including:

• •Competitive Matches: USPSA/IPSC, IDPA, SASS/Cowboy Action, Steel Challenge, High Power, F-Class, ICORE, Small Bore Rifle, American Rimfire, and PGC Rimfire Challenge
• •Target & Recreational Shooting: Pistol and rifle target shooting
• •Instruction & Certification: Concealed carry certification, hunting and marksmanship preparation, target shooting fundamentals, and self-defense technique instruction

Our 100-acre facility includes:

• •10 pistol bays
• •200-yard rifle line
• •Long-range rifle line with targets at 300, 400, 500, 600, and 835 yards
• •Two air-conditioned classrooms for instruction
• •Member camping accommodations with electrical hookups
• •Running water and restroom facilities

Palmetto Gun Club emphasizes education and family involvement. Our certified rifle and pistol instructors offer regular courses covering target shooting fundamentals, hunting preparation, self-defense techniques, and concealed carry certification. We encourage members to bring their families to experience shooting sports in a setting that prioritizes safety and responsibility.

We host numerous state and regional championship matches throughout the year, typically held on weekends. The public may attend and participate in scheduled matches. Note: Palmetto Gun Club is currently at membership capacity with a full wait list. Membership opportunities are expected to reopen in Spring 2026.
