Bryan Smith has been teaching South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit courses since the early 2010s. He's SLED certified as a CWP instructor and fingerprint technician, plus NRA certified in pistol instruction, metallic cartridge reloading, shotgun shell reloading, and Range Safety Officer duties. He's also a fourth-degree black belt in U.S. Tai Karate and Red Cross certified in Adult/Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED.

$85 cash | 8 hours (optional lunch break)

One-stop course covering everything needed to obtain your SC CWP:

• •Fingerprinting and application processing
• •Legal aspects of carrying and use of force laws
• •Firearm safety and nomenclature
• •Written examination
• •Range qualification (30+ rounds required)

Schedule runs 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM, with testing around 1:30 PM. You need SC driver's license, eye/ear protection, handgun, holster, belt, and cap with brim.

$100 cash | 6 hours (optional lunch break)

Requires valid SC CWP. Designed for defensive handgun skills in close quarters (threats closer than 21 feet). Includes:

• •Real-world self-defense scenarios (armed robbery, ATM robbery, hostage situations)
• •Shooting from behind cover and on the move
• •Failure-to-Stop drill and Tueller drill
• •Multiple shooting positions and angles
• •250+ rounds of ammunition required

Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring cover garment, carry weapon and holster, extra magazines and magazine holders.
