Wateree Range is a supervised outdoor shooting facility owned and operated by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) in Richland County. Located in Eastover just east of Columbia, this public-access range provides multiple shooting disciplines for hunters, sport shooters, and recreational enthusiasts.

The facility offers comprehensive shotgun sports alongside rifle and pistol disciplines:

  • Shotgun Sports: Skeet, trap, five-stand, and sporting clays
  • Sporting Clays Course: Eight-station course with 100-foot tower providing dynamic target presentations ($10 per round)
  • Clay Shooting: $5 per 25 clays (credit/debit card only)
  • Rifle Range: 100-yard rifle range
  • Pistol Range: 25-yard pistol range
  • Air Gun Shooting: Available on-site

Visitors must provide their own eye and ear protection (required). Children under 16 must be under direct adult supervision at all times. The range is professionally supervised and welcoming to shooters of all skill levels.

From Columbia, take Highway 378/76 approximately 24 miles east toward Sumter. The entrance is on the left, 1.5 miles after crossing Highway 601.
