Spearfish Rifle and Trap Club

Spearfish Rifle and Trap Club operates two separate shooting facilities for members and visiting shooters. The club maintains a 100-yard rifle and pistol range open daily from 8:00 AM to sunset, and a trap range available Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to sunset (plus special event dates by request).

Annual membership costs $30 and covers the member, spouse or significant other, and children under 18 for the calendar year. Membership includes access to both ranges plus a $1 discount per round of 25 trap targets. Bumper stickers are included, but membership cards are required for verification.

Trap Shooting Events: Corporate and non-profit groups of 20+ can book events at $8.00 per round of 25 targets plus $200 facility fee.

Rifle & Pistol Range Rentals: Law enforcement agencies and certified private instructors can rent the range at $100 (up to 10 people) or $150 (11+ people). Private instructors must provide liability insurance naming the club as additional insured.

The club doesn't provide direct instruction, but 1791 Training, LLC offers private classes on-site: - South Dakota Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit — $150 - NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting — $150 - NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home — $250 (requires Basics prerequisite) - NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home — $250 (requires Basics + Inside Home prerequisites) - Private Lessons — $50/hour - Group Lessons — Negotiable
