Full description and what we offer
Kenzie Fitzpatrick grew up hunting duck and deer with her grandfathers and dad in Alabama and Louisiana. After a gap in her shooting life during college, she got serious about firearms in 2014 when she joined the Rifle Association at Florida State University (now the Florida State University Action Shooting Club). Her first competition was a GSSF match at Talon Range in August of 2014—and she hasn't stopped competing since.
Since then, she's shot 3-Gun, 2-Gun, AK matches, PRS, NRL22, USPSA, Steel Challenge, and Cowboy Action matches. This isn't theoretical knowledge. She's tested everything from hybrid holsters to belly bands to the Enigma chassis system. She writes about guns professionally. She hosts the Reticle Up Podcast. She's been nominated three years running in The Gundies Awards for "Most Influential Female of the Year" and "Firearm Instructor of the Year." In 2025, she finished in the Top 5 for Best Writer.
"We believe in each individual learning to protect themselves rather than relying on others. In reality, the response time for emergency services is slow. When things happen quickly, you are your only defender."
This isn't fear-mongering. It's the core principle driving all her instruction: you are responsible for your own defense.
There are zero excuses for why you can't carry a gun in 2025. Your size? Not an excuse. Your shape? Not an excuse. What you're wearing? Not an excuse. Off-body carry in a sling bag, on-body with a belly band, velcro purses, Enigma systems—Kenzie has tried them all and can show you what works for your situation.
Couples should learn together, but they're taught separately because you won't always be together. If a compromise happens, everyone needs to know how to defend themselves without waiting for backup.
Kenzie contributes to major firearms publications including: - Athlon Outdoors - Guns & Ammo - USCCA Concealed Carry Magazine - Widener's - CrossBreed Holsters
She's been featured on the Classic Firearms YouTube channel and appeared on Gun Talk Media's Build Box TV Show. She's a regular podcast guest and media contributor across the industry.
Her writing covers everything from suppressor reviews and AR-15 builds to dry-fire training methodology, long-range optics, and the practical realities of carrying concealed as a woman.
Kenzie doesn't sell you a CCW card and call it training. She doesn't assume everyone learns the same way. She doesn't pretend competition shooting is the same as defensive shooting—but she knows how each makes you better. She's actually competed. She's actually carried. She's actually tested the gear she teaches with.
