- •First Shots Pistol is built for people with zero or minimal shooting experience. The NSSF-supported course covers gun safety, handling, storage, and shooting fundamentals. Everything is provided: eye/ear protection, firearm rental, ammunition, targets, plus a handbook and $25 gift voucher. You walk in with nothing and leave knowing how to safely handle a pistol.
- •Guy's Night Pistol Skills is a different animal—organized practice sessions where shooters work on specific skills each month. Drawing from holster, movement, cover and concealment, tactical positioning. You bring your own gun and ammo, get reps in with live fire, and have an instructor guiding the session.
Two-level AR progression:
- •AR-15 1: Starts with safety and rifle parts, moves into sights, accessories, platform variations, zeroing, and foundational shooting. Requirements: AR-15 or pistol (rentals available), 2-3 magazines, 100 rounds factory ammo (no steel core, green tip, incendiary, or tracers). Can purchase ammo in-store.
- •AR-15 2: Builds on Level 1 fundamentals. Heavy range focus: proper hold, ready positions, reloads, malfunction clearing, positional shooting, multiple targets. Prerequisites: AR-15 1 or equivalent. Needs sling, 3+ magazines, mag pouches or chest rig, 150 rounds factory ammo. Wear knee pads and long pants—shooting from hard surfaces.
Offered multiple times monthly (Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, Feb 28, Mar 7, Mar 14, Mar 21, Mar 28). This is not a beginner class—requires previous shooting experience. Topics: Tennessee use of force laws, reciprocity rules, where carry is legal/illegal, Castle Doctrine principles. You get tested—written exam and live fire shooting test, both must pass.
Class runs 8 AM to 2 PM. Bring note-taking materials, firearm (rentals available), 50 rounds ammo (purchasable in-store), eye/ear protection (in-store). Leave your gun unloaded in your vehicle until instructed.
- •Treating Traumatic Injuries (Feb 17): Hands-on instruction on emergency response in dangerous situations. Covers tourniquet application, wound packing, chest seal use. Directly applicable if you carry for self-defense.
- •Shimmer & Bang: Invitation-only events for women (Jan 27, Feb 10, Feb 18, Feb 25, 6-8 PM). Contact [email protected] for details and invite.
- •Trigger Chat (Feb 21, Mar 21, 3-6 PM): Relaxed Q&A sessions on suppressors. First session with Kevin covers suppressors with range time; second with Brent dives into AR-15 customization and technical specs. Bring an unloaded AR if you own one; demo gun available.
Rentals & In-Store Supplies — Firearm rentals available for most classes. Eye/ear protection, ammunition (factory loads), and targets sold on-site. Can't bring what you need? Buy it there.
