Cummings Custom Refinishing operates out of Greeneville, Tennessee with a simple philosophy: quality and craftsmanship above everything else. They've been refinishing firearms for gun owners, dealers, and manufacturers across the country for over 25 years—and they do it all by hand.
Most refinishers open a can of DIY paint and spray. CCR doesn't. Here's what actually happens when you send them a gun:
- •Hand disassembly and inspection of every part
- •Hand prep work that includes removing dings, scratches, blemishes, and factory imperfections (this step alone can take hours)
- •Rust and pit removal done by hand—not media blasted over
- •Custom proprietary coatings developed specifically for firearms

This is the foundation for a finish that actually lasts.
Two years of research and nano-technology breakthroughs led to Cera-Hide. Here's the process:
10-step coating process: - All steel parts receive mil-spec hot parkerization first (extra rust/corrosion layer) - Alloy parts are pre-treated for adhesion and protection - Thermally cured ceramic-infused nano matrix coating applied - Self-lubricating finish with three forms of lubrication - 1,000+ hours military salt spray testing

Not your standard plating. CPII is an 18-step process for every single part:
The process: - Hand-prepped to eliminate tolerance issues - Electroless nickel/boron nitride composite - Boron nitride particles embedded in phosphate matrix - Fresh lubricating particles exposed as wear occurs

Designed specifically for anodized alloy frames. Self-lubricating with three forms of lubrication, without damaging factory anodization.
Mil-spec phosphate finish—the military standard for decades. Medium to dark gray color depending on steel. Pre-dip blackening available if desired.

CCR warranties their finishes against corrosion and peeling—for life. Does NOT cover normal wear on contact areas, abuse, neglect, or damage from misuse. Warranty remedy is free refinishing with the same finish and color. Return shipping cost is on the customer.
