Eagle Eye Security And Training Services isn't a startup firearms operation. Bennie Cobb, the CEO, is a retired law enforcement manager with 35 years in public safety. He's worked investigations, SWAT/tactical, narcotics, patrol, internal affairs, jail management, school resource officer duties, court security, and entertainment management on Beale Street. That background matters when someone's teaching you how to handle a firearm or protect your business.
The handgun permit class runs 8 hours straight (9 am to 4:30 pm) or can be split into two days with advance approval. You need:
After you pass, you have 6 months to take your certificate and fee to a Tennessee Driver Testing Station. Once approved, you can carry open or concealed—your choice.
Eagle Eye also trains for Mississippi's enhanced carry permit, covering reciprocal carry laws and state-specific regulations.
If you're working security in Tennessee:
All personnel are screened and background-checked through Tennessee and federal authorities. You must qualify with the exact weapon you'll carry on duty. After certification, you have 1 year to submit your application to the State of Tennessee.

All security personnel are trained in-house to meet Eagle Eye standards. You don't just get "a body"—officers are matched to your specific security needs and integrated into your organization's culture.
Services include armed or unarmed officers, uniformed or plain clothes, mobile patrol, foot patrol, and stationary posts.
Cobb maintains working relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and constantly receives real-time information from public safety networks. Training material comes from best practices used by law enforcement and safety experts nationwide, not generic internet sources. When you graduate and have questions later, an email or phone call to Eagle Eye gets you answers—and if they don't have it, they know where to find it.

After live fire training, wash hands with cold water to remove gunpowder residue. Your clothing will also have residue—avoid touching your eyes until you've washed.
Cobb holds training certifications from Tennessee, Mississippi, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Justice. He's a graduate of FBI National Academy and University of Virginia law enforcement programs. Local media outlets regularly call him as a crime analyst and consultant.
