Permit & Certification Classes - Enhanced Carry Permit Class ($80-90, 8 hours): Fulfills Tennessee state requirement. Covers carry law, use of deadly force, liability, marksmanship, maintenance, safe storage, and how to apply for your permit. - TN Armed Guard Renewal ($55, 4 hours): Required every 2 years for security guard licenses. - Permiso de Portar Arma en TN: Full Spanish-language concealed carry class (~6 hours).

NRA-Certified Instruction - NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting ($75): Covers revolvers, semi-autos, ammo selection, gun safety rules, fundamentals, and maintenance. Includes written test and shooting qualification. Small student-to-instructor ratios. - NRA Pistol Instructor Course (2-day): For candidates wanting to teach. Requires prior NRA Basics completion. Covers training methodology, course delivery, and instructor certification exam.

Defensive Skills Progression - How to Shoot a Handgun ($75, 4.5 hours): New shooter fundamentals. Low student-teacher ratios, patient instructors experienced with non-traditional shooters, non-intimidating environment. - Introduction to Defensive Pistol: Entry point for defensive training. Answers equipment questions and prerequisites. - Defensive Pistol 1: Foundation course (prerequisite for level 2). - Defensive Pistol 2 ($125, 4 hours): Carry techniques, drawing, speed development, one-handed shooting, malfunction mitigation. Requires mid/full-size pistol, Kydex holster, sturdy belt, 200 rounds.

Specialized Scenarios - Interactive Decision Training - Pistol ($100, 150+ rounds): Stress-inoculation training using photorealistic targets and turning target systems. Teaches threat assessment, shoot/no-shoot decisions, and decision-making under duress. Prerequisite: vetted defensive pistol course. - Interactive Decision Training - Shotgun ($100, 30 rounds buckshot): Same methodology for shotgun platform. Shotgun-Specific Training - Defensive Shotgun Basics (4 hours): Firearm safety, shotgun selection, modifications, ammunition capabilities, patterning, nomenclature, operation, shooting technique, loading/reloading, storage. Shotguns and ammo provided, or bring your own.

Specialized Instruction - AP3X Combat Pistol Level 1 - Ladies Only ($150, 6 hours): Instructor with 10+ years law enforcement and 8 years defensive tactics instruction. Covers justified use of force, armed individual recognition, combat vs. precision shooting, shooting from cover, speed reloads, malfunction clearing. 250 rounds required. (Note: Revolvers and Sig P320s not allowed.) - Basic Guns for Gals ($50, 3.5 hours): Ladies-only fundamentals. Shooting portion included. 25 rounds and firearm required.

Most defensive courses require you to show up with specific gear: - Semi-automatic or revolver (mid/full-size preferred for defensive classes) - Quality holster (Kydex, anchors to belt, stays open when drawn) - Sturdy belt to support holster - Eye and ear protection - Magazines (typically 2-3 depending on course) - Ammunition (100-250 rounds depending on class)

Shotgun courses allow students to use provided firearms if needed. Pistol handgun classes can work with rentals with advance notice.
