Full description and what we offer
3-D Open Range is where Central Texas archers go to practice realistic hunting scenarios. They operate a 3-D range with multiple target distances and offer both instruction and member access to practice time.
First-time shooters take a USA Archery instructor-certified class for $35 per archer. This gets you familiar with the range and qualified to use it independently.
Members can book 1-hour time slots on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month. The structure splits skill levels:
| Coverage | Cost |
|---|---|
| Single 3-D target | $5 per person |
| Two targets | $10 per person |
| All three targets | $12 per person |
Reservations required—no walk-ins. Book by 8 PM the day before. Groups limited to 3 people maximum.
The range features multiple target types and distances. Beginners work with closer yardages while advanced shooters train at extended ranges. If you don't have your own equipment, CTA provides bows matched to your height and handedness, pre-disinfected and ready to shoot.
Bring your own water—they don't provide it. Hand sanitizer and equipment disinfectant are on site. Sessions run full hours (8 AM to closing) with strict time boundaries so the next shooter can start on schedule.
