Established in 1964, the Alamo Muzzle Loading Gun Club (AMLGC) is a family-oriented, non-profit shooting organization dedicated to preserving the traditions and craftsmanship of muzzle loading firearms. Located in La Coste, just west of San Antonio, Texas, the club operates a comprehensive shooting facility that serves as a premier center for black powder and muzzle loading sports in the region.
The club maintains a well-equipped range featuring: - Dedicated rifle range - Separate pistol range - Range house for member use - Covered eating area with picnic tables - On-site restroom and shower facilities - RV hook-ups for traveling members
AMLGC offers diverse shooting competitions and training programs: - Monthly competitive shoots held the first Sunday of every month - Black powder silhouette shoots for advanced marksmanship - Civil War skirmish events focusing on historical accuracy and technique - 4-H .22 caliber marksmanship program for youth development - Instruction and training programs for members of all skill levels
