Full description and what we offer
Bayou Rifles Inc. started when a group of shooters meeting along Buffalo Bayou decided to form a club dedicated to competitive and casual shooting with safety as the foundation. Nearly 90 years later, they operate as a private, members-only facility hosting sanctioned competitions across multiple disciplines.
Bayou Rifles manages two shooting venues:
Bayou Rifles is well known in Texas and the nation for its metallic silhouette program in smallbore rifle, air rifle, and lever action rifle disciplines
In the 1960s, the Addicks Range and Ben Avery Range in Phoenix alternated hosting national silhouette championships, drawing up to 2,000 competitors. The club maintains this reputation and also hosts high power rifle competitions year-round.
The club organizes regular matches across: - High Power Rifle - Pistol (Bulls-Eye) - Smallbore Rifle - Metallic Silhouette (BRASS)
Match results and schedules are available on their website. New member orientations are conducted several times yearly as the waitlist allows.
The 2026 waitlist to join is now open. New members go through orientation before full participation. This is a members-only facility not open to the public except during official matches.
