Full description and what we offer

Cactus Creek Bow Hunting Ranch operates a high-fence property near Nixon, Texas—about an hour from Austin and San Antonio, 2.5 hours from Houston. They focus on making archery hunts affordable and straightforward, with no complicated structure or corporate overlay.

The Setup - 8 elevated stands, each with auto-feeders that activate morning and evening - Four two-man stands (perfect for father/son, mother/daughter, or videoing hunts) - Comfortable 13-person bunkhouse with full kitchen and bathroom - Walk-in cooler and electric hoists for processing game - 4x4 available to retrieve your harvest

The Hunt

Unlike ranches with rigid schedules, you hunt when you want. The typical day looks like this: light breakfast and coffee, head to stands 30 minutes before feeders activate, practice your draw, wait for game at 15-25 yard shooting distance. Most hunters see both exotics and hogs. After the harvest, you either process at the cabin or take the 10-minute drive into Nixon for lunch. Evening hunts follow the same pattern.

Only one hunting group books the ranch at a time—no compromising your style or competing for stand time.

Hog hunts don't require a Texas hunting license (feral hogs), but exotics and whitetail deer do. Check with Texas Parks and Wildlife Service before your trip.
