Full description and what we offer
Cowtown Bowmen Archery Club started October 11, 1961 with 27 charter members shooting roving rounds at each other's homes. Today they've grown into a well-established club with a dedicated range near Lake Worth and a reputation that draws archers across the region.
This is a volunteer-run, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. There's no paid staff, no instructors on-site, and no equipment to borrow. All members bring their own gear and shooting knowledge.
The club doesn't hold classes or offer equipment loans. Every archer must have their own setup and understand proper safety before stepping on the range. Children must be under direct adult supervision at all times – no exceptions.
"We promise you will be hard pressed to find a more helpful bunch of folks. Our shooting events offer real life situations and our practice range is the envy of many."
They've partnered with Texas Parks & Wildlife and local agencies to put on family-oriented archery events. Their membership spans generations – the club actively encourages families to shoot together, not just individuals.
Membership gets you daytime access to their range. All events are volunteer-run, so the club asks for patience and understanding that board members and volunteers are giving their time. No hours of operation listed – access is restricted to members only outside of hosted events.
