North Texas Outfitters has been running guided hunts on their ranch just outside Chico, TX since the early 1990s. The operation sits among oak-covered hills in North Central Texas, combining heavily wooded areas with open grazing vistas that challenge hunters across multiple terrain types.
The ranch stocks 25+ species of record book class game from four continents:
Standard Exotics: - Axis deer, fallow deer, red deer, sika - Blackbuck antelope, nilgai, aoudad - Sheep species: red, Armenian, mouflon, Texas dall, black Hawaiian, Corsican, four horn (Jacob's ram), ibex
Super Exotics: - Scimitar horned oryx, water buffalo, watusi, addax - Elk (300 and 350 class), bison - Waterbuck, wildebeest, gemsbok, eland, zebra - Afghan urial, pere david, barasingha, catalina - Rio Grande turkey
All hunts are fully guided. Hunters can choose between spot-and-stalk, safari-style hunting, or permanent stand hunting. The ranch's management program ensures mature animals are available year-round with proper nutrition and water access. Only mature animals are taken, allowing younger stock time to develop record-class headgear.
No Kill, No Pay Policy: You only pay trophy fees for animals successfully harvested. If you take no game, only lodging charges apply. Success rates run very high.

Located 1 hour northwest of Fort Worth, the ranch is just 1.5 hours from Dallas and 1.5 hours from D/FW International Airport. Smaller private airports nearby: Jacksboro, Bridgeport, Decatur.
