Full description and what we offer
Nardis Gun Club operates three climate-controlled shooting facilities across San Antonio—The Original on Interstate 10 East, Alamo Ranch on Loop 1604 North, and Rolling Oaks on NE Loop 1604. All three locations are NSSF 5-star rated, meaning they meet the National Shooting Sports Foundation's highest standards for facility safety, cleanliness, and member experience.
Not a membership-only operation. Nardis is open to the public with day passes, but the membership options are what bring people back. The range is air-conditioned and state-of-the-art—designed so you can get in, practice your draw, shoot a magazine, review results with staff, and leave in 20 minutes. That's the gym membership mentality applied to shooting.
Try Before You Buy is their biggest differentiator. They stock the largest selection of firearms in San Antonio and let you rent and shoot them on their range before purchasing. All rentals require ammo purchased from the shop.
| Plan | Best For | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | New shooters wanting flexibility | Range access, member perks |
| Silver | Individual/family gun owners | Unlimited visits, free eye/ear protection, bullseye targets |
| Platinum | Try-before-you-buy shooters | Silver benefits + unlimited standard rentals |
| Executive | Business entertaining | Guest privileges, private lane, conference room access |
| Flag | Active police/military/first responders | Silver benefits at reduced rate |
| Corporate | Teams & businesses (5+ users) | Customizable from all plan options |
The Platinum plan costs about the same as one rental per month—if you're the type to test different guns, it pays for itself.
The in-store shop carries firearms and accessories. Beyond retail:
| Location | Address | Phone |
|---|---|---|
| The Original | 4818 Interstate 10 East, 78219 | 210.661.8300 |
| Alamo Ranch | 4215 W Loop 1604 N, 78253 | 210.369.9199 |
| Rolling Oaks | 6711 NE Loop 1604, 78247 | 210.651.0909 |
The Original location (I-10 East) is described as being "in the middle" of the city—a major advantage for shooters who want range time without a long drive. Multiple members report visiting 2-3 times per week because of the convenience factor.

Every review mentions the staff by name. Members describe knowing the staff personally, staff knowing their progression, and getting lost in conversation. This isn't corporate-chain energy—it's "great company, great location, great guys" repeated verbatim across reviews.
New shooters specifically cite the professional but non-dismissive atmosphere. New gun owners aren't made to feel stupid for asking questions. Experienced shooters appreciate the clean facilities and equipment maintenance. People with families note that the environment is comfortable and professional enough to bring kids for intro classes.
"I've been a member for over a year now. Being a member allows me to get in and out in 20 minutes. I can practice my draw, shoot a magazine, and go over my results with the staff. They've seen me progress and have helped me from the beginning." — Shawn, Member
Nardis Public Safety operates separately. Phone: 210.661.8400 (Monday-Friday, 9am–6:30pm).
Black Friday week-long deals (typically late November) with doorbuster pricing. Check the website or newsletter for current promotions.
You don't need a membership to shoot here—day passes work—but the membership options are designed so that regular shooters (1-2 times per week) end up paying less than day-pass rates while unlocking additional benefits.
