South Plains Archery Club is a volunteer-run archery facility located in West Texas, offering a unique outdoor shooting experience for archers of all skill levels. Situated at 6596 FM 835 in Lubbock, Texas, the club features a well-maintained outdoor bag range combined with 3D animal targets that simulate real hunting scenarios.
The club's permanent range includes shooting distances of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards, making it suitable for beginners learning the fundamentals as well as experienced archers honing their competitive skills. The combination of traditional bag targets and 3D animal course targets provides versatility for practice and tournament competition.
South Plains Archery Club hosts regular scheduled shoots and participates in ASA (Archery Shooters Association) sanctioned events. The club offers competitive classes ranging from Jr. Eagle to Senior divisions, allowing archers of various ages and experience levels to participate in formal competitions.
Membership is available at affordable rates: - Individual: $50.00 annually - Family (same household): $75.00 annually
Members receive their first shoot free (excluding the Buckle Series). Tournament pricing is competitive, with Adult Members shooting for $10.00 per event and Youth (ages 9-17) at $5.00. Children under 8 shoot free. The Buckle Series, the club's competitive championship series, is $20.00 per event.
