Pampa Rifle & Pistol Club operates two separate facilities for members. The indoor range at 304 Rodeo Dr handles pistol training and .22 rifle work with five rows of shooting positions. The outdoor range splits into two sections: a north gate area with steel targets (chickens, pigs, rams, turkeys) and a dedicated pistol/.22 rifle section, plus a 300-yard rifle range at the south gate.
- •Indoor pistol range (5 shooting rows, paper targets only)
- •Outdoor steel target range (north gate)
- •300-yard rifle range (south gate)
- •Monthly cowboy shoots (4th Saturday via south gate)
- •Regular competitive matches including rifle blackjack challenges
- •Club meetings second Thursday of each month at indoor range
$100/year membership includes access to both facilities. 2026 sign-ups run January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and February 12th & 26th (6:30-7:30 PM at indoor range). Bring membership card and photo ID for updates.
This isn't a casual operation. The club enforces strict safety protocols:
- •Eye and hearing protection mandatory at all times on firing line
- •No fully automatic weapons
- •No armor-piercing ammunition
- •No centerfire rifles in indoor pistol range
- •Actions must be open and magazines out except when at firing line
- •Range Officer has complete authority
- •Spectators stay behind shooters
- •Outdoor hours: sunrise to sunset, 7 days/week
Members who observe rule violations have an obligation to report them. Serious infractions can result in expulsion and notification to the NRA and affiliated clubs.

Safety Information

Restrictions
- •Members only (family and one guest per person per year allowed with member supervision)
- •Must be able to legally own firearms
- •No fully automatic weapons
- •No armor-piercing ammunition
- •No centerfire rifles on pistol ranges
- •No shotguns on rifle or pistol ranges (designated area only)
- •No .50 BMG on outdoor range
- •No quick-draw or combat practice indoors
- •No hunting on range property
- •No drugs or alcohol on range property
- •No shooting barrels or club equipment
