Full description and what we offer

Dixie GunWorx doesn't sell you a basic rifle then charge extra for upgrades. Instead, they build your AR-15 or M4 from scratch using premium components from the best manufacturers in the industry—no compromises, no corners cut, no parts wasted.

Here's the math: you buy a stock AR from a big-box store for $X, then spend another $Y upgrading the trigger, stock, barrel, and grip. Those original parts end up in a box never to be used again. At DGX, you spend roughly the same amount and get exactly the rifle you want, built right the first time.

Their custom builds cycle smoother, have less recoil, require less lubricant, and shoot more accurately than off-the-shelf rifles. All their AR work is fully customizable—barrel length, caliber, upper receiver, lower receiver, stock, trigger—with no limits on options.

Cerakote isn't just a pretty paint job. It's a ceramic-based finish that:

PropertyPerformance
Durability160 lbs/inch impact resistance before deformation
CorrosionZero corrosion after 3,500 hours in salt spray chamber
HardnessAchieves 9H rating (highest possible)
Abrasion6,000 cycles vs. 500 for bluing, 3,333 for black oxide
HeatWithstands 950-1050°F internal temps without degradation

DGX also applies Micro Slick, a dry-film Cerakote coating for internal components like bolt carrier groups. It reduces friction, boosts performance, and extends firearm lifespan. Available in multiple colors or clear finish.

Built from the ground up or modified from existing rifles, DGX precision builds prioritize durability, accuracy, and performance. They walk you through every decision—barrel profile, stock, trigger, optics mounting—to deliver a rifle tailored to your needs without the piece-by-piece upgrade trap.

Water transfer printing adds custom graphics like wood grain, carbon fiber, camouflage, or geometric patterns to firearm components. Thousands of paint/graphic combinations available. Process: base coat → dissolve graphic on water surface → dip item → protective clear coat.

  • Short Barrel Rifles (SBRs): DGX handles all ATF paperwork for registered SBRs. Barrels under 16 inches fully customizable. Current processing time: several months for ATF approval.
  • Suppressors: Wait times have improved dramatically—90 days with a Trust, 9 months without. DGX stocks suppressors for calibers from .22LR to .338 Lapua Magnum. They explain the key factor: can you disassemble it to clean it? If not, it won't last. Price directly correlates to quality and longevity.
  • Pistol Alternative: Want the compact feel without NFA registration? Build an AR pistol with no stock—takes it home immediately, no Form 1 required.

DGX stocks multiple BCG finishes:

  • Phosphate: Durable, economical, holds lube well. Heavy cleaning required.
  • Nickel Boron (NiB): Superior lubricity, faster cleaning, less lube needed, eliminates need for gas regulation on DI systems, hardens steel for extended life.
  • Micro Slick: Cerakote coating offering most NiB advantages at lower cost.

Store layout segregates retail from gunsmithing work—you walk into a clean showroom, not a work bay. DGX also works with insurance companies on firearm restoration claims from fires.

"Not one company out there can make an all-around better AR15 than a custom DGX rifle, due to our dedication to finding and using the best specific parts from the best manufacturers for that part."

Custom DGX owners report "jealousitis"—that feeling when others at the range see your rifle cycle smoother, shoot more accurately, and look better than their off-the-shelf guns.
