Mike Zarkos brings a "blend of real-world experience and expert instruction" to every course. The training emphasizes safety, precision, and tactical knowledge. Courses push beyond basic techniques into strategic maneuvers, scenario-based exercises, and decision-making under stress. Heritage Defense Group's approach honors traditional, time-tested techniques while incorporating modern tactical training methods.
The combination of legitimate combat experience (Naval Special Warfare background), private security work, and years of civilian instruction creates an instructor who understands both defensive tactics and how to teach them. The free programs for military enlistees and teachers demonstrate a commitment beyond profit—supporting those entering public service and those responsible for school safety.
Heir training locations include Red Ledges, with both Team One and Team Two courses available ($175-$225). All courses are designed to build genuine competence and confidence, not just certification.
