Full description and what we offer
Sportsman's Paradise operates 2 miles of mountain spring-fed streams and still-water lakes stocked with over 20,000 trout. The fishery holds Rainbow, Brown, Cutthroat, Steelhead, Splake, Cutbow and Golden trout ranging from naturally spawned fingerlings to 16 pounds, with an average catch size of 18-24 inches.
The streams were restored to their natural 1800s appearance through major excavation work. Spawning beds produce thousands of young fry annually, creating a self-sustaining fishery. Invertebrate growth keeps fish active and fat.

The ranch offers mixed-bag hunts for ring neck pheasant and partridge across rolling hills, dry farm wheat, barley, alfalfa, sage, CRP grass and irrigated ground. During typical hunts, shooters see 100+ roosters and several coveys of partridge.
Guides use primarily pointing dogs—Llewellin setters, short-hair and wire-haired pointers, plus lab retrievers. These dogs have been hunting since puppies and are trained to find and retrieve birds.

These events feature 300 pheasants driven from cliff bluffs toward shooters positioned at 20 shooting butts along Long Hollow. Shooters switch positions after each 20-bird barrage. The design is modeled after Scottish driven shoots with input from a professional Scotsman.
After the driven portion, a traditional walk-up hunt pursues birds that escaped. The day concludes with a whole pig roast at the clubhouse: roasted pig with apple, Dutch oven potatoes, sweet potatoes, baked beans, cornbread, salad, beverages and dessert.
These shoots create strong team-building atmosphere and allow members to network with other shooters in a high-energy, social setting.
Recently added facility for mid-day shooting practice.
Fully furnished double-occupancy cabins with TV/VCR, refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, two double beds and full bath.
Cabins pair with complimentary hot breakfast at the clubhouse. The ranch also offers famous trout dinners.
