Thompson Long Range operates a specialized long-range shooting school near Logan, Utah. The core promise is simple: complete the 2-day course and hit a 1,000-yard target, or the training is free.

Mark Thompson founded the program on a proven formula: distill decades of long-range experience into intensive 1-2 day courses. Why spend 3-5 days in extended training when focused instruction delivers results faster? Students learn the same principles and skills in less time.

Course Options: - Two-day course: $1,550 - One-day course: $1,000

Both include rifle use, ammunition, scope setup, reloading fundamentals, and progression from fundamentals to 1,000-yard shooting.

Thompson Long Range handles logistics so you focus on shooting. Courses run April through August and fill on a first-come, first-served basis.

All courses use Weatherby Mark V Accumark RC rifles equipped with custom Leupold VX5HD scopes ballistically matched to each rifle. Available models include:

Mark Thompson developed a patented bullet design featuring grooves cut through the ogive that align with barrel twist.
