Full description and what we offer

The Utah State Rifle & Pistol Association operates a world-class competitive shooting facility in Wendover dedicated to advancing precision marksmanship and competitive shooting sports throughout Utah and the broader region.

The Wendover Range is a premier competitive shooting facility hosting NRA-approved matches and CMP-sanctioned events. The range is not open to the general public but serves USRPA members and their approved guests year-round for practice sessions.

  • Long-Range Competitions: 100, 200, 300, 500, 600, 800, 900, and 1000-yard firing points
  • Palma Format Events: Matches at 800, 900, and 1000 yards
  • 3x1000 Yard Matches: Extended long-range precision competitions
  • Bullseye Pistol Matches: CMP Conventional and Precision Pistol formats
  • NRA Mid-Range Matches: Competitive rifle events at intermediate distances
  • Member Practice Access: Year-round access for approved members

The range features state-of-the-art electronic target scoring (ShotMarker) technology that minimizes human contact in the target pit and enhances accuracy and safety. Multiple firing points accommodate shooters from 100 to 1000 yards.

The facility is exclusively for USRPA members who have completed safety checkout and approval. Approved members may invite non-members as guests. Monthly matches are typically held the fourth Saturday of each month from April through October, with practice days available on Fridays as interest permits.

USR&PA is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) and the National Rifle Association (NRA), ensuring all matches meet national standards and sanction requirements.
