Full description and what we offer
Founded in 1960, Wild Hill has been the go-to hunting destination in Vermont for over 60 years. Located in the remote hills of West Fairlee, the preserve sits on terrain that naturally supports big game—swamps, streams, hills, and open meadows create genuine wilderness hunting conditions without the travel costs of heading out west.
Your host and guide brings a lifetime of experience from Alaska, Canada, and South America as a hunter, trapper, guide, and bush pilot. He designed the property specifically for hunters who want real hunting, not just access to game.
- •Elk ($3,495–$5,995): Heavy-antlered bulls from premium bloodlines. They guarantee a shot at a trophy-worthy bull; if you don't tag out, you only pay room and board. September through January.
- •Red Stag ($1,995–$4,495): Majestic animals weighing over 600 pounds with thick-beamed antlers and a characteristic crown of points.
- •Russian Boar ($750): Pure Russian boar—larger and better eating than feral hogs. Average 200 pounds. Hunted spring and fall.
- •Fallow Deer ($1,450–$1,995): Four color phases available with palmated antlers. Fall season.
- •Buffalo ($1,650–$3,495): High in protein, lower in fat than beef. Spring and fall hunts.
