Discover Shooting teaches firearms and self-defense instruction to both beginners and experienced shooters. Based in Fairfax, VA, they primarily serve students from Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia—but also train students from other states by special arrangement.

Basic Classes (PART 1) - Provides training for Virginia permit applications - Also covers Utah multi-state permit requirements - Qualifies you for reciprocity in Delaware, Nevada, Washington state, and Wisconsin (if VA permit holder)

Advanced Classes (PART 2) - Additional training for Virginia and Utah advanced permits - Covers more demanding state requirements - Includes range training and qualification

Specialized Training - DC License to Carry a Pistol Concealed – requires specific DC training - Maryland Wear and Carry Permit – separate MD-specific training - Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL) – MD's entry-level requirement - LEOSA Range Qualification & Renewal – Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act certification - AR-15 Maintenance Training – hands-on AR platform instruction - Basic Handgun Classes – fundamentals for new shooters - Self-Defense Classes – beyond permit requirements

They specialize in the multi-state reciprocity problem. Most instructors teach one state's requirements.
